Filipino ring icon Manny Pacquiao once again showed explosive form in his training for his March 13 fight with Joshua Clottey, nearly knocking out his bigger sparmate during Saturday’s sessions at the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles.

Being big, strong and durable do not make Joshua Clottey unbreakable. This is the belief of trainer Freddie Roach, who tries to steer Manny Pacquiao to another victory on March 13 at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The sudden emergence of Pacquiao as one of boxing’s superstars has made it possible for many Pinoy boxers to display their skills at the world stage and made promoters notice the power of the Filipino market.

A makeshift gym will be constructed at the basement of the hotel where Manny Pacquiao will be billeted to make sure the Filipino fighter doesn’t miss a single beat in his training for his showdown with Joshua Clottey on March 13.

It’s been a while since I visited the fame Wildcard Gym so I decided to pick up the old camera and took a trip to the place to check out the Filipino fighters training there for their Valentine’s eve fights at the Las Vegas Hilton.
